Syndicates
R J Kiln & Co Limited is the UK operating subsidiary of Kiln. One of the largest managing agents operating in the Lloyd's insurance market, we manage four syndicates:
Syndicate 510
Kiln’s combined Syndicate 510 comprises six divisions: property & special lines; marine & special risks; accident & health; aviation; treaty reinsurance and enterprise risk. Kiln is a recognised market leader in each of these business areas. Each of the syndicate’s six active underwriters have been with Kiln for an average of more than 20 years. All of the teams have a high level of underwriting authority, which, coupled with a robust peer-review process, results in quick, sound decision-making for brokers and customers.
Syndicate 557
A parallel syndicate to the reinsurance division of 510, Syndicate 557 comprises a portfolio of US and international property catastrophe reinsurance.
Syndicate 807
With effect from 1 January 2012 Syndicate 807 merged with Syndicate 510.
All risks previously written into Syndicate 807 will be renewed into Syndicate 510 at their normal renewal date with Syndicate 807 remaining responsible for the ongoing service of the risks written into the 2011 and prior years of account.
Lloyd Tunnicliffe (Active Underwriter) and Karen Boyes (Deputy Underwriter) will continue to service the 807 account and are the main contacts for any outstanding 807 business.
Syndicate 308
Syndicate 308 is one of the few dedicated life-insurance businesses in Lloyd's. The team writes a wide range of group and individual life-insurance products.
Syndicate 1880
The syndicate is supported entirely by capital from Kiln’s parent, Tokio Marine, and provides an intra-group Lloyd’s platform for Kiln and other Tokio Marine companies. In addition to reinsuring risks from Kiln syndicates and other Tokio Marine companies, the syndicate writes some specialist third-party business.
Syndicate 1880s large commercial property and engineering open market business at Lloyd's is managed by Kiln and operates under the 'Tokio Marine Global' brand.
