Kiln appoints new CIO

Kiln, the international insurance and reinsurance underwriting group, today announces the appointment of Ray Faires as Chief Information Officer. Mr Faires joins Kiln having spent 12 years at Morgan Stanley, latterly as a divisional COO.
Separately, Rob Stevenson will be taking on the newly created role of Head of Insurance Operations. Mr Stevenson will oversee claims, wordings, binding authorities and catastrophe risk modelling.
Charles Franks, group chief executive officer at Kiln said:
“This new role of CIO reflects the importance of technology to Kiln and ensures that there is appropriate representation at board level. Ray will bring great expertise to the position. Rob’s appointment will be warmly received both within and outside Kiln and we look forward to his knowledge and energy being applied to the role.”
