Medical Expenses Insurance
Medical expenses insurance coverage provides a wide range of benefits for hospital, surgical and medical care. Other benefits can include the cost of private nurses, convalescent care and similar. At Kiln our focus is mostly on partnering with specialist coverholders in this sector, although we also write excess of loss and quota-share reinsurance treaties – and, on occasion, large risks on a facultative basis.
The medical expenses insurance business at Kiln comprises:
- US medical, incorporating specific and aggregate coverage, niche medical products and excess of loss programmes
- International medical insurance, offering protection to individuals and employer groups to cover costs of medical expenses on a worldwide basis. Policies vary greatly depending upon the territory of the insured and their own particular requirements. Insured clients are expatriates or local nationals in various worldwide locations
- Travel medical insurance, covering groups and individuals outside of their ‘home’ country

Our accident & health insurance underwriters write business in London at Lloyd's. Continental European producers can also access our underwriting capability via our service companies located in that region.
